Dick Mcllhattan, former Senior Vice President of the Bechtel Corporation, has vast experience in all facets of engineering and construction business management. During his 40-year career he held a variety of leadership roles in major national and international capital programs within Bechtel’s Railway and LNG businesses. He served as Program Director for Bechtel’s major capital programs which included the Network Rail, Crossrail, Reading Station Remodel, and West Coast Route Modernization projects. These positions included responsibility for all program activities including implementation, design development, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Dick also served as Manager of Bechtel’s Houston office providing global engineering services to multiple business lines; President of Bechtel’s open shop construction company; and Chairperson of the Project Management Committee. He has managed large engineering and construction organizations—both union and non-union.

Dick provides invaluable leadership and strategic guidance in performance and risk management, cost and schedule management, management of complex capital programs and organizational development.

Michael Dunham is an industry veteran with 46 years of UK and international construction experience in the rail and oil and gas major programmes. Michael has held several senior management positions on major rail new build and modernization programmes. In 2020 Michael stepped into the role of Delivery Director for Crossrail in the UK to complete, commission, assure and Handover 10 iconic major underground Stations ready for revenue service for the first half of 2022. Which was achieved in support of Revenue Service. His responsibilities included Design, Procurement/finance, CDM compliance, Safety, Delivery, Commissioning , Assurance and Asset Transfer to the Maintainer.

Between 2015-19, Michael served in Canada as the Construction Director and Director of Special Operations on the £3bn Spadina Link Subway Extension and the £8bn Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project, respectfully. In both roles, Michael was instrumental in the restructuring of the delivery teams, schedules and budgets to address delays and cost overruns. At Spadina, Michael led the team managing 14 Principal Contractors delivering the twin track tube extension including 6 iconic stations, tunnelling, systems integration, ATC signalling systems, testing & commissioning with no LTIs over 36 months. Prior to these assignments, Michael served in the UK as the Implementation Director/Head of Construction on the Great Western Electrification Project from 2010 to 2014 where he was responsible for engineering, procurement delivery and commissioning of the £2.3bn electrification scheme. From 2002 to 2009, Michael held several senior construction and functional management roles on the West Coast Route Modernization Project where he managed the delivery of 200 miles of electrification, signalling and trackwork the four tracks.

Michael started his career in 1974 as pipe fitter in the oil and gas industry in the Texas Gulf Coast. He raised through the ranks and joined Bechtel as a Superintendent in 1983. For the next 15 years, Michael served on roles of increasing responsibility such as Project Superintendent, Site Manager and Project Manager on an array of major petrochemical, refining and power programmes most of which were EPC lump-sum and direct hire.
